jurisdiction of the SPANISH CONSULATE GENERAL IN MANCHESTER:

Lincolnshire, the Isle of Man, Merseyside, Northumberland,
Nottinghamshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Tyne & Wear, and

"Its main objective is to assist
Spanish nationals within our jurisdiction for example issue of
passports, family books, etc, as well as notarial documents
(“powers of attorney”), civil registry (inscriptions of
births, deaths and marriage). Further assistance is also given
in matters regarding detained Spanish nationals.
We also issue visas to residents within our consular
jurisdiction".

OPENING TIMES
They are open to the public Monday to Friday, from 9am until
2pm, and are available to answer phone queries from 3pm until
4pm.
VISA DEPARTMENT
are open Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 12:30,
exclusively for booked appointments and from 12:30 pm to 2pm,
for collection of documents
NOTARY DEPARTMENT
The only days available to sign notary related documents in
front of the Consul General are Tuesdays and Thursdays from
10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Notary
1.- The main documents prepared by this Notary Department at the
Spanish Consulate General in Manchester, are as follows:
Powers of attorney (To buy, sell, general, inheritance etc.)
Deeds of revocation
Deeds of renouncement to inheritance purposes
Deeds of ratification
2.- If you need any other type of document then please address
this Consulate in writing , sending a “draft” with specific
faculties that you may have received from Spain.
3.- Once the document is ready for signature, you will be
informed in writing to arrange an appointment by telephone from
Monday to Friday – 09:30 til 14:00 to sign said document before
our Spanish Consul General. Signature Appointments are only on
TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS between 10:30 until 12:30.
4.- IT IS IMPERATIVE that you bring your PASSPORT'S when you
attend for signature.
5.- SPANISH WILLS are not processed at this Consulate General
for British Nationals.
